1. Our commitment
At Little Thinker Lab we want you and your child to be delighted with your purchase. If something’s gone wrong, we’ll help you. This policy outlines how returns, refunds, and exchanges work for our handmade Montessori and sensory toys, educational activities and printables.
2. What your rights are
Under the Australian Consumer Law, if a product is faulty, unsafe, significantly different from its description, or doesn’t do what it was intended to do, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. We will comply with those rights.
3. Change of mind
If you simply change your mind (e.g., you bought the wrong item, you don’t like it) we offer:
Returns accepted within 14 days of purchase (from date of invoice) provided the item is unused, in original condition, packaging intact.
You may choose between a store credit or refund (less original shipping cost, if any).
Customised/personalised items, printables once downloaded, or clearance items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns.
Shipping cost for return is borne by the customer unless the item is faulty.
4. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged in transit, or different to what was ordered, please contact us within 7 days of receipt with photo evidence and purchase details.
On confirmation we will provide a replacement or refund (including shipping costs if appropriate).
We may request the item is returned to us (at our cost) for inspection.
5. Process for returns or refunds
To initiate a return or refund please email admin@littlethinkerlab.com with your order number, date, product name, reason for return.
Once approved, ship the item to:

Mark the parcel clearly with your order number.
Items should be returned within 14 days of approval. We recommend using a tracked shipping service — we are not responsible for items lost in transit.
Once we receive the item and inspect it, we will notify you and process the refund or store credit within 7 business days. Refunds will be made via the original payment method.
6. Exchanges
If you’d like to exchange an item (e.g., for a different colour or version), follow the return process above and make a new purchase for the exchanged item (we will refund the original once returned item is received).
7. Shipping & costs
Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrect. Return shipping for change-of-mind is the customer’s responsibility.
8. Non-eligible items
The following are not eligible for return or refund under change-of-mind:
Printables or digital downloads once the download link has been provided.
Customised or personalised items (unless faulty).
Items damaged by misuse, normal wear and tear.
9. Policy review
We may update this policy from time to time (for example if legal requirements change or our processes change). The “Effective Date” at the top reflects when the current version applies.
